Build WordPress sites and WooCommerce shops from Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, Cursor or any MCP agent – with native blocks clients can edit.

== Description ==

Blockwerk turns your WordPress site into an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server. Coding agents such as Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot in VS Code and Gemini CLI can then build complete websites – pages, header, footer, navigation, design system and WooCommerce shops.

Unlike AI tools that dump HTML into your site, Blockwerk compiles everything into **native Gutenberg core blocks** that open cleanly in the standard block editor. Developers build in the terminal – clients keep editing in the dashboard.

= Features =

* 30 agent tools: pages & posts, templates and template parts, navigation, site settings, media, patterns, revisions
* Section compiler: compact JSON layouts → editor-valid core blocks (tested against WordPress 6.5 and 7.1)
* Design system: theme.json Global Styles, self-hosted Google Fonts (GDPR-friendly)
* WooCommerce: store setup, taxes, shipping zones, offline payments, categories, simple & variable products, coupons
* Safe by default: personal hashed tokens, the agent's permissions are capped at the token owner's, drafts first, trash instead of delete, every change revisioned, activity log
* Ready-made workflows (MCP prompts): clone a reference look, landing page, complete shop
* Claude app connector: add Blockwerk in Claude (web, desktop, mobile) and approve it with your WordPress login – no terminal, no token (OAuth 2.1 with PKCE)
* Copy-paste setup for Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, VS Code, Gemini CLI and mcp-remote

= Licence =

Blockwerk requires a licence key. Every account starts with a free 7-day trial (no payment details). Content you built always stays – only the agent connection needs an active licence.

= Privacy =

For licence validation the plugin sends the licence key, site URL, plugin and WordPress version to the Blockwerk licence server at most every 12 hours. No site content is transmitted to Blockwerk. Content flows only between your site and the AI agent you connect.

== Installation ==

1. Upload the plugin and activate it.
2. Open **Blockwerk** in wp-admin, enter your licence key.
3. Create a connection token.
4. Copy the generated command/config into your agent.

== Frequently Asked Questions ==

= Can I use it in the Claude app without a terminal? =

Yes. In Claude go to Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector and paste your site's endpoint (shown under Blockwerk → Connect). You log in to WordPress once and click "Allow access". Your site must be publicly reachable via https.

= Which agents are supported? =

Every MCP client with HTTP transport (Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, Cursor, VS Code, Gemini CLI, Windsurf …). Stdio-only clients connect through `npx mcp-remote`.

= My host strips the Authorization header =

Send the token as `X-Blockwerk-Token` instead, or add `RewriteRule .* - [E=HTTP_AUTHORIZATION:%{HTTP:Authorization}]` to .htaccess.

= Does it work with classic themes? =

Yes for page content. Header, footer, templates and Global Styles require a block theme.
